Leadership Camp Builds Confidence and Character

Pinelands High School recently hosted its annual Grade 9 Leadership Camp—now in its fourteenth successful year. The camp saw 40 enthusiastic students take on a wide range of challenges designed to stretch them emotionally, physically, and mentally.

Set against the beautiful natural backdrop of Wortelgat in Stanford, the camp focused on developing leadership potential among junior students. With guidance from both Pinelands High staff and camp facilitators, students participated in a thoughtfully designed programme that included team-building exercises, hiking, obstacle courses, problem-solving activities and content relating to key themes within the school community.

The heart of the camp’s philosophy is simple but powerful: personal growth happens when we face challenges and push beyond our comfort zones.
