Pinelands Scouting Troop Wins Gordon’s Shield
A team from the 3rd Pinelands Scout Troop won the Gordon’s Shield competition this past weekend. This is the premier annual scouting competition in the Western Cape, having been run annually since 1915. This year a total of 44 teams and 330 Scouts competed at the Hawequas Scout Adventure Centre in Wellington.
Fond Farewell to our Exchange Student from Germany
On Friday, our Grade 9s said farewell to Julius Hanke, one of our AFS exchange students. Julius lives in Bad Iburg in Germany and joined us for 8 weeks. His time with us was short but he became part of our school family and found a way to our hearts.
Debating Dynamite
Congratulations to Jemma Davids in grade 9 who has been selected as a provincial speaker for the Western Cape Debating Team. This especially impressive as she has now been chosen for two years in a row. Well done Jemma!
Our boys placed top of their league
After their match against Reddam Constantia on 6 September 2023, which they drew, our boys placed top of their league. They now qualify to compete in the Premier League with the likes of SACS, Rondebosch Boys’ High School, Wynberg Boys’ High School, Stellenberg High, Fairmont High and Curro Durbanville
Hockey Girls Win Final League Match
Pinelands High School won 2-1 against Elkanah High School in their final hockey league match. Well done to our first team Hockey Girls!
