  • Bronze awards to Joelle Meyer and Tayla Simpson, Nonceba Radebe, Grant Spaans and Craig Stevenson, Andrea Hogg and Davida Smith, Siyamthanda Zenzile.
  • Silver award to Jonathan Campbell.

Pinelands High School has joined the Eco Schools Programme which is an international environmental initiative. The project for this year falls under the theme Resource Use.

Under this project we plan to reduce waste at school and encourage recycling at home.

To encourage recycling at home the Eco School Committee has started a recycling drive. Details regarding the drive can be found below and under Resources on the School Communicator.

To assist our Grade 11s to prepare adequately for the CT Science Expo, we gave them an opporutnity on Tuesday evening to display their projects and answer questions posed by the invited guests.

DON'T MISS OUT: Annual Book Fair 29-31 AUG

Next week is our annual Book Fair in the Reeler Centre. The Book Fair runs from 29-31 Aug and is open 07h30 - 15h30. It caters for adults, high school and junior school children.

Reader's Warehouse will supply a wide range of well-known teen fiction as well as the latest editions in popular teenage series.

‘Help the Rural Child’ will again provide for all other tastes with second hand books at a very reasonable price. There will be tables filled with fiction and non-fiction for adults, primary and high school children as well as the little ones.

Supporters can make use of the opportunity to also collect “Help the Rural Child” bags to fill and return to the Reeler Centre for collection to support this worthy cause.

Come and do some early Christmas shopping.
