We congratulate our Matric class of 2015 on its outstanding results. We are delighted to report that of the 188 students who wrote the NSC examinations, 159 achieved Bachelor’s passes – 85.5%. This percentage reflects the quality of work undertaken by students and their teachers in the years running up to the final examinations. It also represents a significant improvement on the 2013 and 2014 results, and is in line with our strategic objective of raising the number of Bachelor’s passes. Sadly, one of our students did not pass the examination, and we offer her our support and encouragement.
Our top student was Terri Lakey (pictured top left) who achieved 8 subject A’s (including Advanced Programme Mathematics). She was followed by Toshka Coleman and Keenen Hindley (7 A’s each). Caryn Cyster, Adam Schroeder, Ellen-Anne Williams and Tina Le Fleur each achieved 6 A’s, and Joel Clothier, 5 A’s.
It is not possible to name the many other young people who produced results which do them proud. There are many hidden success stories which tell a tale of hard work by students and their teachers, or of young people overcoming personal challenges or learning difficulties, or of the support and encouragement offered by the school and families to those who have struggled. We salute our school community for its work over the past year, and we wish our 2015 matriculants all of the best for their tertiary studies, or their entry into the working world.
